We are sorry for the loss of my friend Vern Gosdin

I am sad today after learning that I have lost a great friend and THE VOICE of Nashville. Vern Gosdin age 74 passed midnight Tuesday and left behind many friends and family. God has taken back his child of GOD and now has him singing with the angels.

Fort Myers ‘Downtown Countdown’ to 2009

A lineup of local bands will play on two stages, one at the corner of Jackson Street and First Street; the other on Bay Street and Hendry Street. At the Bay and Hendry Street stage, The Down South Rockers (classic rock and blues) will open about 8:30 p.m. followed by the Drunk Monkeys (’80s, alternative or whatever you want them to be) a few hours later.

Road Trip to The Annual Angelus Benefit

Buffalo: I look forward to this every year. The annual pilgrimage from Upstate SC down to Tampa, Florida for Charlie Daniels’ three day golf and country rock concert to benefit The Angelus House, a home for the physically challenged. The event is a lot of fun and after doing it for five years it has become a big part of my life. This was the second time I drug Scott along for the event, and I have asked him to add his comments to the review as well.
