big-jim-napier1I was born in Hollywood, Florida and raised in Plantation fishing the canals of Plantation to the Florida Keys as well as the Florida Everglades to just the best golf courses I could find. After battling cancer as a new born I have made it a point to help with children s hospitals all over the country. Without the great care that I received I would not be able to live the life that I live. I went to school in Plantation as well as attended BCC and McFatter Tech to learn about boats to pest management. Didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. I then became a mechanic and started working on cars at a young age in my neighbors driveway” Mark Zylstra” God rest his sole. We spent many of days working on cars and fishing the canals behind our houses to chasing girls on Ft. Lauderdale beach. He was a great friend. Then to move on to trying to be a boat mechanic and landed a great job working for a Wellcraft dealer in Pompano Beach who supplied the boats for the Miami Vice show out of Brunswick, GA. I was lucky enough to work and run the boats for the show to teach me a lot about large and powerful boats. Then moved to Orlando to work with Universal Studios theme park as well as take a job with a local pest control company, did ok but missed my mom and friends and moved back to Ft. Lauderdale and started working in pest control again. I then opened my own Landscape and pest prevention company and things were great until I visited Pro Player Stadium for a Dolphin game and that’s when my life changed. After the game I was looking for my best friend and we made a plan to meet at the bottom of the escolator and then return to the car but I couldn’t find him so I started towards the car and the escolator went out of control and tons of people landed on me. I have never been in so much pain. I tried to shake it off but later found out that I had broken my neck as well as wrenched my knee and blew 2 disk in my lower back. And to this day they have done NOTHING to take care of at least one medical bill. Now that is scumbags if I have ever seen one. I have suffered for over 7 years trying to find something that I can do for work and believe me when you put your medical history down and they see bad back and neck, good luck getting a job any place. So I was out fishing trying to find something that I could do with my life other than end it and thought well the doctors said I can’t lift anything over 25 lbs. without a chance of destroying the work they did and I thought well if I catch a 25 lb bass I won’t ever have to worry about money again. So I started fishing tournaments. Thanks to Kelly and the support of my sponsors and friends I got the chance to fish on tour. Now I am trying to stay on tour with sponsor help but times have been hard and sponsors are not willing to spend money on just some fishing team. I hope that I as a human being can show them the type of person that I am to make them understand that I am a great guy who stays on the straight arrow and does the right thing and they will be proud to have their company name on my back. If you or you know of a company that would like to promote through fishing I am the guy who would love to help. If you just want to donate to help this cause that’s great as well. I need help and I am not afraid to ask. I hope I haven’t bored you and you get to meet me and love me as I will be a good friend to many. My message is all I have to offer and thank you for listening to me tell my story of life.vegas-169
